Job Summary

Under the direction of the Counselor and the Principal, the Wellness Coach is a staff member dedicated to promoting student wellness through the development and implementation of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) programs and other supportive initiatives. This individual will play a key role in enhancing the emotional and social well-being of students, working closely with teachers, counseling staff and families to create a positive school environment. The role involves creating a safe and accessible space for students needing assistance with coping skills and school avoidance, as well as performing clerical tasks and serving as a point of contact. The Wellness Coach also establishes positive relationships with students and staff, while adhering to district policies and guidelines. The Wellness Coach should hold a certificate and/or be willing to obtain a certificate during their employment.
