Eligible applicants must have completed one of the following: * Associates Degree; OR * 48 College Units; OR * High School Diploma and Passage of the NCLB (ESSA) Paraprofessional Test.   • Copy of Transcript (A minimum of 48 college units required or diploma plus passage of the NCLB (ESSA) Paraprofessional Test.)

Location: Arovista Elementary Hours: 6.0 hours per day Shift: 8:00 am - 2:30 pm Monday - Friday, 9.5 months/year Sick leave and vacation are earned on a prorated basis at the rate of one day per month. Comprehensive insurance including medical, dental, vision, and life available. District contribution to Public Employees Retirement System (PERS). California School Employees Association Agreement Article VI, 6.1.3 states: “Voluntary transfer/promotion requests by an employee for an opening shall be given prior consideration over a new employee.” Article VI, 6.3.2 states: “When a new position is created or an existing position becomes vacant, the District shall first offer the opportunity to transfer or to seek promotion to bargaining unit employees.” All applicants much possess the personal qualifications generally recognized as essential to become an understanding public employee including integrity, initiative, dependability, courtesy, good judgment, and ability to work with others. Applicants may be rejected on the basis of an incomplete application or failure to meet the minimum posted qualifications.
