About the Employer
The Orange Unified School District serves approximately 24,000 students in grades kindergarten through 12th and encompasses all or part of the cities of Anaheim, Garden Grove, Orange, Santa Ana and Villa Park. In 1953, the citizens of the area voted to form a “unified” school district, combining the original five elementary districts with the high school district into one unified district, now known as the Orange Unified School District. * Completed OUSD EdJoin Classified Management Application * Letter of Introduction addressed to Jacqueline Perez Chaidez, Deputy Superintendent, Business Operations and Strategy * Current Resume * Three Letters of Recommendation (dated within 2 years of the job posting, with a wet signature) * Bachelor's degree (copy of transcripts required)
Requirements / Qualifications

Comments and Other Information
Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Communications, Public
Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a closely related field. (A Master’s degree or
Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) is highly desirable).
Experience:
A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in public relations, corporate communications, or journalism, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory or management capacity.
Preferred: Previous experience leading communications within a K-12 public school district, higher education, or government agency and bilingual.
