Job Summary

Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, plan, organize, coordinate and participate in the custodial and building maintenance activities of an assigned high school site; inspect facilities and consult with maintenance personnel and District administrators to coordinate and prioritize work projects; train, assign, oversee, assist in evaluating and schedule the work of assigned personnel involved in custodial assignments.

ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES NEED THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and four years custodial experience including 1 year of supervisory experience. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Standing and walking for extended period. • Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching. • Lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying heavy objects. • Twisting/turning. • Climbing ladders. • Seeing to assure proper and complete cleaning. • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate power cleaning equipment.

ELIGIBILITY LIST: An eligibility list will be created from this recruitment and will be good for one year or until the list is exhausted. It will be used as follows: 1. To fill the current vacancy and future permanent vacancies which may occur during the life of the eligibility list; 2. To create a list of substitutes for the current class. Substitutes work on an as-needed basis to fill in for absent employees.
