Job Summary

This posting will close upon receiving 20 applicants Under direction of site administrator, teach and instruct pupils in grades 9 through 12 in secondary academic subject matter, social, behavioral, and other educational skill areas; plan, develop, organize, and conduct a comprehensive educational program for secondary level pupils; assist upper secondary level pupils in making appropriate life style adjustments, and in the determination of career and vocational choices; perform other related functions as required.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education, Experience, Licenses, and Other Requirements: -Successful completion of student teaching at a recognized college or university, or two years of regular full-time secondary level teaching experience; English -Possess a California credential authorizing service as a teacher of secondary level students in major or minor subject matter fields; English/Language Arts -Possess a baccalaureate or higher degree with an emphasis in an academic major or minor subject matter field commonly taught in secondary grade levels. -Valid California Teaching credential with English Learner authorization or equivalent. -Employment eligibility that may include fingerprints, health (TB) and/or other employment clearance. -Must have valid California driver’s license and automobile available for use. Must be willing to attend evening, night, and weekend meetings and events.
