Job Summary
The Middle School Combination 5th & 6th Grade Class Teacher, under the direction of the site administrator, is responsible for providing standards based instruction to students. The teacher plans, implements, and assesses a comprehensive educational program that addresses the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of both fifth and sixth grade students. Responsibilities include delivering instruction in all core subject areas, including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and other assigned curriculum. Developing differentiated lessons aligned with California State Standards. Assess students progress and using data to inform instruction. Maintain accurate records. Establish a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment. Implement effective classroom management practices and communicate regularly with parents and guardians. The ability to effectively manage and teach students in a multigrade classroom while fostering high academic achievement and positive student development. Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administrators. Participate in professional development and school activities, with supporting district goals and initiatives. The successful candidate will possess a valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, appropriate English Learner authorization.
