Provides an educational program for pupils in elementary and assists in other school programs as assigned.

1. Provide an educational program for students and participates in other school-related programs.
2. Develop lesson plans and instructional materials designed to provide for small group and individual needs of all students assigned to classroom.
3. Evaluate student's academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records, prepares progress reports, and informs parents or guardians of such progress on a regular basis.
4. Assist students in developing good citizenship, self-concepts, and other academic and personal values which will aid them in functioning to their maximum ability.
5. Provide a functional and attractive classroom environment conducive to learning.
6. Establish standards of student behavior.
7. Participates in district and/or self-selected professional growth activities to enhance professional competence.
8. Attend and participate in staff meetings.
9. Perform basic attendance accounting and other necessary functions required for classroom management.
10. Administer group standardized and criterion-referenced tests in accordance with district testing programs.
