About the Employer

The Orange Unified School District serves approximately 24,000 students in grades kindergarten through 12th and encompasses all or part of the cities of Anaheim, Garden Grove, Orange, Santa Ana and Villa Park. In 1953, the citizens of the area voted to form a “unified” school district, combining the original five elementary districts with the high school district into one unified district, now known as the Orange Unified School District. Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and skill is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and skill would be: Experience: Five or more years of successful, progressively responsible experience in data management, analytics, data engineering, business intelligence, or a related technical field, with at least two years in a lead, supervisory, or project management capacity. Experience with California K-12 data systems and state reporting (e.g., CALPADS) is highly desirable. Education: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or a closely related field is preferred. Equivalent experience demonstrating the required knowledge and abilities may be substituted for the degree requirement.
