A Non-Public Schoolteacher will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for students outside of the traditional public school system. This role will develop and implement educational programs tailored to the needs of diverse student populations, fostering intellectual, social, and emotional growth. Collaborating closely with parents, administrators, and clinicians, the Teacher will assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to promote academic achievement. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree and California Special Education Teaching Credential preferred or eligible for short term permit based on California Department of Education requirements. 2. One year’s experience in a classroom setting preferred. 3. Effective conceptualization and communication skills. 4. A valid California driver’s license is required of staff who have regular driving duties and the driving record must meet the requirements of their position and be approved by the agency’s insurance company. Essential Job Functions: 1. Operate an agency or personal vehicle for work-related activities which may include, client visits, meetings, trainings, or other agency-related appointments 2. Ensure compliance with driving requirements, including maintaining a valid driver’s license, current vehicle registration, and proof of insurance as required by agency policy. 3. Physical capability to restrain children, lift over 20 pounds, and engage in physical activities including various sports, sitting, walking, bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, reaching, etc. 4. Knowledge of teaching techniques and curriculum. 5. Be able to work in a harmonious manner with subordinates, supervisors, administration and others. 6.
