This is a permanent, full-time (1.0 FTE) Adaptive Physical Education position for the 2026-2027 school year.

ADAPTIVE/PHYSICAL EDUCATION.  Successful candidate must have a good knowledge of and experience in providing assessment, consultation, program development and direct instruction in the area of adapted physical education for identified pupils with exceptional needs.  Must have a demonstrated ability to work with teachers as an instructional team.  Regular education teaching experience is desirable.  Must demonstrate strong classroom management sills, effective instructional strategies, and communication skills.  Teaching assignment may include all grade levels of physical education.  Must be CLAD certified or be qualified to obtain an emergency CLAD permit

Napa Valley Unified School District has a 1.0 FTE opening for an Adaptive/Physical Education Teacher (Itinerant). This is a District wide position. Successful candidate must have a good knowledge of and experience in providing assessment, consultation, program development and direct instruction in the area of adapted physical education for identified pupils with exceptional needs. Must have a demonstrated ability to work with teachers as an instructional team. Regular education teaching experience is desirable. Must demonstrate strong classroom management skills, effective instructional strategies, and communication skills. Teaching assignment may include all grade levels of physical education. Must be CLAD certified or be eligible for a CLAD permit. Candidates must hold and English Learner Authorization (ELA) or be eligible for an Emergency ELA permit while working on earning an ELA. Bilingual Spanish candidates are strongly preferred.
