Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Superintendent and/or Principal, the Library Technician supports the daily operations of the school library/media center for elementary and middle school students and staff. This position assists with organizing and maintaining library resources, promoting literacy and technology use, and creating a welcoming learning environment that encourages reading, research, and student engagement. Responsibilities include circulating materials, supporting students and teachers with library and technology needs, maintaining inventory and records, and assisting with library programs, events, and classroom activities. The Library Technician works collaboratively with school staff to support curriculum goals, foster information literacy skills, and ensure efficient library services in a safe and organized environment. The Library Technician may be asked to run ELOP activities after school around literacy such as book clubs, Battle of the Books, or a read-a-thon.
