Job Summary

Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Principal serves as the instructional and operational leader of Helendale Secondary School. The Principal is responsible for guiding the educational program, supporting teachers and staff, ensuring student success, and maintaining a safe and positive school climate. This position works collaboratively with all stakeholders to implement district goals and promote student achievement.

Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of a valid California Teaching Credential. Possession of an Preliminary or Clear Administrative Services Credential A minimum of five (5) years of effective classroom teaching experience. A minimum of three (3) years effective School site administrative or management experience desired. Demonstrated ability to supervise, evaluate, and support certificated and classified staff. Knowledge of curriculum, CTI programs, instructional leadership, student services, and educational law. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including students, staff, families, and the community.
