Job Summary

Under the direction of the Student Services Coordinator, the School Psychologist provides psychological services to Pathways Charter School, including testing, counseling and consulting, to assist in meeting the social, emotional and educational needs of students with potential disabilities identified under Title V and IDEIA regulation.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. Knowledge of: * Federal and State laws, codes, regulations and requirements pertaining to areas of assigned responsibility for special education; * Principles, practices, methods and strategies applicable to special education curriculum development and strategies for implementation; * Psychological and educational techniques, tests, materials, methods, theories and trends in assessing and identifying student learning and behavior characteristics. Ability to: * Must be approachable, empathetic, and highly organized. Requires the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professional boundaries. * Understand and relate to children with special needs * Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. * Maintain records, compile, and verify data and prepare reports * Work independently with little direction * Meet schedules and timelines * Communicate effectively both orally and in writing * Be highly organized * First aid and CPR EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Experience: * Prefer 3 years unsupervised work as a school psychologist. Education: * Clear California Pupil Personnel Services Credential authorizing service as a psychologist. Desirable Qualifications: * Bilingual (Spanish) preferred, but not mandatory

This position is based at our Learning Center in Rohnert Park, and may occasionally travel to our Learning Center in San Rafael to conduct assessments.
