Location: District Service Center Hours/Day: 8 hours/day Days/Week: 5 days/week Months/Year: 12 months/year *** View Job Description for details *** Under the general direction of the Director of Facilities, Director of Maintenance & Operations, the Project Manager II oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of capital construction, modernization, and facilities improvement projects across the District. The position is responsible for managing complex, multi-site, and high-value projects; coordinating with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors; monitoring budgets and schedules; resolving construction issues; and ensuring compliance with District standards, state regulations, and applicable building codes. The Project Manager II ensures that assigned projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in alignment with District goals and bond program objectives.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Public Administration, or related field. Equivalent work experience in outreach, community relations, or supplier diversity may substitute for education. Experience Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience in small business coordination, outreach, community relations, or supplier diversity programs. Experience working with public agencies or government procurement strongly preferred. Experience with compliance software such as LCP Tracker is desirable. Preferred Certifications Small Business Certification Training (DGS or similar) Public Engagement or Supplier Diversity certification Physical Requirements Employees must be physically and mentally able to perform the essential duties of a position with or without reasonable accommodation and without hazard to themselves or others.
