Job Summary

Job Summary

Kindergarten at Harvest Ridge is truly magical. We are seeking a warm, nurturing, and enthusiastic teacher to join our close-knit school community. Our kindergarten class has just 13 students and is supported by a dedicated instructional aide, allowing teachers to build strong relationships and provide individualized support. Harvest Ridge follows a unique hybrid model with in-person instruction Monday–Thursday and Independent Study on Fridays, along with a few additional Independent Study days throughout the year. Kindergarten students are dismissed at 1:00 PM each day. In the afternoon, the teacher provides math instruction to a small group of 13 first-grade students. The position also includes daily prep time. If you are passionate about early childhood education and want to teach in a supportive environment where creativity, connection, and joyful learning are valued, we would love to hear from you. As a certificated Teaching position serving students, Teachers are responsible for providing an educational program that includes planning, monitoring, documenting, and evaluating each student's progress through core classroom instruction and independent study. Classroom instructional days consist of 30 minutes before regular school start time to 30 minutes after regular school end time, Monday through Thursday, including an unpaid, duty-free forty (40) minute meal period. Independent Study days, which generally occur on Fridays, shall constitute no less than 20% of an instructional week, are intended to be utilized by teachers to complete requisite administrative and independent study documentation and communication, conduct parent-student conferences (as appropriate), participate in monthly collaborative work days, professional development activities, and regularly scheduled weekly staff meetings. The school reserves the right to hold staff meetings and Independent Study days on other instructional days during the week.
