Ocean View School District has a current Special Day Class Preschool - Kindergarten opening in the SSD program at College View Elementary School. The SSD class is considered medically fragile/extensive support needs. Launch Your Career with Us: We are invested in your success! The District covers all costs for the Orange County Department of Education's Teacher Induction Program for our ESN teachers holding a preliminary teaching credential. The cost varies between $3,600.00-$3,900.00 per program year.

APPLICANTS THAT DO NOT INCLUDE THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION WILL BE SCREENED OUT OF THE PROCESS.** University Intern Credentials, Provisional Internship, Short-Term Staff Permit may be considered Basic Functions: Under the supervision of the school principal, the SDC Preschool Teacher provides direct instruction and support services as specified in the Individualized Education Program (IEP) for the special education pupils identified. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Education: • Valid Education Specialist Teaching Credential with an authorization in Early Childhood Special Education (newer ECSE credential or Education Specialist Bridge Authorization in Early Childhood Special Education required) • EL authorization or equivalent is required. • Autism Spectrum Authorization; • Possession of valid, current CPR and First Aid certifications is required or obtain within two months of employment is required (Medically Fragile SSD Preschool) • Master's Degree in Education or related field is preferred; Experience: • Recent successful experience working with children with special needs and willingness to work with staff members and management in a collaborative manner. • 5 years previous public school teaching experience accepted for placement on the Teacher's Salary Schedule Documents Required:
- Copy of Transcript (Bachelor's, Master's & Post-Baccalaureate Transcripts with Confer Date)
- CPR/First Aid Certification (Current CPR/First Aid Certification)
- Credential Copy (Education Specialist Credential - Early Childhood Special Education (newer ECSE Cred.) or Education Specialist Bridge - Early Childhood Special Education)
- Letter of Introduction
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 current letters of recommendation within 2 years)
