The Independent Study Teacher will provide educational leadership to students and parents within independent study programs, as well as: - Work with families to set appropriate educational goals, monitor progress, collect work samples, and assign appropriate value to that work - Work with parents and students to ensure alignment with graduation requirements, state standards, and/or the student’s IEP, as needed - Create digital student files with IS information, relevant standards, and quarter grade logs - Communicate general school information to the parents and maintain regular communication on individual independent study matters with parents/students. This position will support and uphold the mission and vision of The Classical Academies. The Classical Academies is an organization of award-winning, tuition-free, California Public Charter Schools serving North San Diego County since 1999.
