The Encinitas Union School District (EUSD) is seeking an innovative, enthusiastic, and student-centered educator to join our Enrichment Program as a STEM Innovation Teacher. This unique position works with and inspires K–6 students through a dynamic enrichment wheel model that fosters curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and a love of learning through science, technology, engineering, and design.
The ideal candidate creates engaging, hands-on learning experiences that encourage students to think critically, solve real-world problems, and explore STEM through inquiry, engineering design, computational thinking, and technology-rich instruction. Aligned with the California Next Generation Science Standards (CA NGSS), the program empowers students to become confident innovators, creators, and problem-solvers.
At EUSD, we believe every child has limitless potential. Our STEM Innovation Teachers play a vital role in bringing learning to life, sparking imagination, and inspiring students to explore, discover, and thrive. Curriculum resources, professional learning, and collaboration with fellow STEM Innovation Teachers are provided.
Compensation:
Salary placement is based on experience, with credit given for up to 10 years of prior teaching. In addition, STEM Teacher positions are scheduled to transition to a 185-day work calendar and will be compensated on the certificated salary schedule beginning in the 2027–2028 school year, providing a clear pathway for professional growth and long-term alignment with certificated roles.
The Encinitas Union School District (EUSD) is located in the North San Diego County along the coast. It serves nine (9) Kindergarten through sixth grade schools.

The weekly work schedule for this position is 7:30am-3:00pm, Monday through Friday.
The selection process will include application screening, pre-interview reference checks, a performance task, and a panel interview. Panel interviews for selected candidates are scheduled for Tuesday, June 30, 2026. All required application materials must be submitted and complete in order to be considered.

$1,000 for Masters Degree

Applicants will have the opportunity to clear their teaching credential at no cost through the district offered Teacher Induction Program.
Successful candidates will be required to pass fingerprint background check, physical and drug screen and provide negative Tuberculin Skin Test result prior to working in Encinitas Union School District. TB test at applicant's expense. Fingerprinting/physical/drug screen paid by EUSD. An original Social Security Card is required at the time of hire.
