Job Summary
The Science teacher plays a critical role in supporting student achievement by facilitating high quality learning opportunities for students. Instruction features a 1:1 Chromebook program, and is centered on Project-Based Learning, a collaborative, respectful culture, and an emphasis on 21st century skills. Samueli Academy teachers must have the ability to raise student achievement for a wide range of learners. This teacher will collaborate with other teachers, community partners, and caregivers; integrating curricula whenever possible to create transformative learning experiences.
Requirements / Qualifications
A completed application will include: 1) A cover letter addressing your experience coaching adults, leading professional development to increase outcomes for students and teaching using Project/Problem Based Learning, and assessing your content via our School-Wide Learning Outcomes: Written Communication, Oral Communication, and Collaboration. 2) A resume which clearly describes your education and employment background, including dates of employment at each organization. 3) Two current letters of recommendation. 4) Copy of Clear or Preliminary Single Subject Credential or appropriate Certificate. 5) Copy of English Learner Authorization (CLAD or equivalent). 6) Copy of BA degree and Transcripts.
