Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Coordinator of Expanded Learning, the Expanded Learning Site Support Specialist is responsible for coordinating the daily operation of a wide variety of recreational and enrichment activities and academic interventions at the school site. This includes prioritizing and performing a variety of duties to manage daily implementation of the Expanded Learning Program and ensure the safety of students. The Expanded Learning Site Support Specialist works closely with the Expanded Learning and Enrichment Teachers, School Site Administrator, program partners, school staff and families to assure program policies and practices are followed an program goals are being achieved.

Requirements / Qualifications

In order to be considered, applicants must submit the following by the final filing date: Completed Ed-Join Application Two Current Letters of Recommendation Resume Unofficial Transcripts OR Paraprofessional Test EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Associate’s degree or higher, OR completion of 48 college semester units of study at an institution of higher education, OR must pass the District adopted Paraprofessional test meeting State and Federal rigorous standards; AND two years’ experience assisting in the implementation of related recreational, academic and enrichment programs for youth. College level courses in teaching, recreation, child development or related field are preferred. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are desired. Previous verifiable work experience in after-school programs is preferred.

The District will contribute towards health benefits on a prorated basis (based on employee's work year and hours assigned). The benefit package includes options for medical, dental and vision. Medical plan options include Kaiser, Western Health Advantage and Sutter Health Plus. $10,960 per year for Employee-only medical benefit selection. $13,000 per year for Employee+1 or Family medical benefit selection.
