Job Summary
The effective teacher develops and delivers engaging, standards-based instruction that meets the diverse academic and social-emotional needs of students in a K–8 setting. Teachers at Alianza implement our 90/10 Dual Language Immersion Program, providing instruction in both English and Spanish while promoting bilingualism, biliteracy, high academic achievement, and cross-cultural understanding. Teachers use student data to assess prior learning, set meaningful growth goals, and establish high expectations for every student. Collaboration with families and colleagues is essential to supporting student success. Work is performed under the supervision of the principal.

Bilingual Stipend
The District will provide a stipend of 3.66% of step 1 Column 1 to a classroom teacher if the following conditions are met:
a. The teacher has a Bilingual Authorization or Bilingual, Cross-Cultural, Language and Academic Development Certificate (BCLAD)
b. The teacher is teaching in a District designated bilingual program as designated by our PVUSD English Learner Master Plan or is serving as a MEST teacher in the Migrant
Education program, in the year the stipend is paid.
The Pajaro Valley Unified School District is located in the beautiful Santa Cruz County, California. Employment with the Pajaro Valley Unified School District is not complete or official until applicants meet all pre-employment requirements, including Board of Trustee approval. As part of the selection process, all new employees are required to provide the following information: new employees must be fingerprinted (paid by the District); TB test (paid by the employee); social security card; picture identification; and authorization to work (I-9).
