Credential Information One of the following valid, unexpired California Credentials is required: • Education Specialist Instruction Credential in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) • Specialist Credential in Special Education for the Communication Handicapped For those who do not yet hold a valid California Education Specialist Teaching Credential, as described above, documentation demonstrating the ability to obtain the authorization should be uploaded, including one or more of the following: • California Education Specialist Teaching Credential in another specialty area • If you have recently completed a program but have yet to be granted the Preliminary DHH Credential, upload a copy of your Finisher Letter in lieu of credential • Intern Eligibility Letter from a CTC-approved DHH Intern Program • Out-of-State DHH teaching authorization (make sure the authorization statement is included on the copy) • Transcripts showing ALL degrees earned and ALL coursework completed (including Community College Coursework), unofficial transcripts are acceptable A valid, unexpired English Learner authorization (e.g. embedded EL authorization, CLAD, BCLAD, or SDAIE) is required. Emergency EL authorization may be considered.
