Job Summary

Location: Fiscal Services Department Hours/Day: 8 hours/day Days/Week: 5 days/week Months/Year: 12 months/year Under general direction, performs professional level accounting work; supports the oper­ation of a major functional accounting or budget unit (e.g., Payroll, Accounts Payable or Receivable, Health Insurance, Budget Development, Federal Projects, etc.); prepares reports, statements and other documents. One position will specialize in general accounting, the other will assist with special education accounting.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education: Graduation from a recognized college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, business, public administration or related field, is required. One (1) year of graduate level course work in accounting, finance, business, public administration or related filed may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Units in government accounting, tax accounting, cost accounting and advanced accounting are preferred. Experience: Three (3) years of professional-level experience in accounting or finance work, in a private or public industry is required. Special education accounting experience is desirable but not required.
