Job Summary
The English Language Development (ELD) Teacher will facilitate the acquisition of English for students who speak a language other than English as their primary language. The position serves students who need services to improve student language acquisition outcomes. Individuals must have successful experience working with culturally diverse schools; including families and communities, knowledge and skill in culturally responsive teaching and learning, and experience working with English Language Learners in a classroom setting. This position requires a commitment to and demonstration of equitable and inclusive educational practices and an unwavering commitment to reducing academic disparities among students due to race, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, or family income.

To be considered, Applicants must submit: -Copy of credential -Two letters of reference (dated within the last year) -Cover letter -Resume -Transcripts Education and Experience: -Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required -Valid California Teaching Credential -Valid Preliminary or Clear Single-Subject credentials required -Valid CLAD or BCLAD or English Learner (EL) Certification required -Bilingual in Spanish/English is highly preferred
Professional Requirements: -Complete annual training requirements -Maintain confidentiality at all times -Work with a diverse group of individuals -Report to work on time and as scheduled -Represent the organization positively and professionally at all times -Comply with all organizational policies and standards regarding ethical business practices -Attend regular staff meetings -Flexibility is required to work with others in a wide variety of circumstances
