Job Summary
Under the direction of the Community Schools Program Coordinator or Designee, the Community Schools Student Advocate serves as abridge between families, schools, students, teachers, administrators, and the broader community. The Student Advocate leads efforts to connect and maximize the resources of the California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP) to support holistic wellness and student achievement throughout the district and community.
Requirements / Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required - at least some college preferred. Experience working with students in one of the following: teaching, counseling, tutoring, intervention or educational internships preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred. Valid CA Driver's License preferred (home visits required) Internal Candidates - Need only to submit a letter of intent on Edjoin.org (no emails) Only applications with all required attachments completed will be considered. Fingerprint clearance upon hire with DPOL JUSD.
