Job Summary

The Poway Unified School District is seeking applications for the 2026-2027 school year to fill an ASB teaching position at Westview High School. In addition to the teacher salary, this position receives an annual extra-curricular stipend paid over 10 months; currently $10,614 (step 1) - $22,551 (step 10)

Requirements / Qualifications

Applicants must submit all required documents to be considered, including a valid teaching credential. CREDENTIALS REQUIRED: A valid California Teaching Credential

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: All required documents MUST be scanned and attached prior to submitting an application for this position. Incomplete applications will not be considered. 1. Applicants must have an English Language Learners (CLAD credential) in order to be considered for the position. 2. Copy of California teaching credential. 3. Copy of Transcript (Official transcripts are required upon hiring). 4. Current resume. 5. Letter of introduction, addressed to Kelly Burke, Ed.D., Executive Director II, Human Resources. 6. Three (3) letters of reference, signed/dated within the past 12 months. Applicants are encouraged to include at least one (1) letter of reference from a supervising or site administrator. Applicants who have never held a full-time position, are encouraged to have a letter of reference from a site administrator where they completed their student teaching. 7. For phone references, be sure to include the reference's most current cell phone number and email address. 8. TEACHER INDUCTION: Poway Unified School District offers a teacher induction program to clear the CA preliminary credential to qualified individuals at no cost to the employee.
