Job Summary
Under the supervision of the principal or designee, works with school site administration to implement the district’s prescribed education program for pupils in the classroom. Teaches mathematics, reading, language arts, science, social science and writing, or other subjects as required. Provides planned learning experiences to motivate students, using weekly lesson plans. Provides small group instruction to adapt the Common Core State Standard and District curriculum to the needs of each pupil; makes use of all available professional assistance in assessing pupils’ needs. Maintains standards of pupil behavior necessary to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom. Maintains professional competence through participation of in-service education provided by the District and/or self-selected professional growth activities.

"Employee is employed as a temporary certificated employee to replace a certificated employee who is absent from service. This employment shall continue only during the period of the regular employee's absence and shall terminate upon the regular employee's return to service or at such earlier time as the District determines the temporary services are no longer required."
