Under the direction of the Director of Adult Education and Workforce Development the Career Coach/Transition Specialist shall drive the implementation of the South Bay Consortium for Adult Education (SBCAE) regional transition plans and goals. The Career Coach/Transition Specialist will provide guidance and assistance for students in the English as a Second Language (ESL), High School Diploma, High School Equivalency, and Adult Basic Skills Programs to facilitate the achievement of career and academic goals. The position will serve a diverse population of adult learners and provide ongoing support for program development and implementation to meet the needs of learners.
Requirements / Qualifications
Valid California Adult Education Teaching Credential or a degree in a related field. Minimum of three (3) years of experience teaching adult learners in an adult school and/or community college setting. Knowledge of and experience teaching Adult Basic Education (ABE), Adult Secondary Education (ASE), English as a Second Language (ESL), and Career Technical Education (CTE). Broad understanding of community college academic pathways, career education programs, and workforce development opportunities. Current résumé detailing relevant education and professional experience. Three (3) recent professional letters of reference. Official or unofficial college transcripts verifying educational qualifications. Proof of current Tuberculosis (TB) clearance.
