About the vacancy - This position is a bond funded position, and the length of the assignment is dependent on funding availability. Location: District Service Center Hours/Day: 8 hours/day Days/Week: 5 days/week Months/Year: 12 months/year Under the direction of the Director of Facilities or assigned administrator, the Facilities Outreach Coordinator supports, coordinates, and implements the District’s Small Business and Local Hire Outreach Program. This position is responsible for organizing outreach activities, conducting community engagement, monitoring vendor participation, including contracts awarded as a prime and/or a subcontractor, and ensuring compliance with District small business, local hire, and supplier diversity goals. The Facilities Outreach Coordinator maintains detailed participation records, interfaces with contractors and community partners, prepares reports for internal and external stakeholders, and supports transparent communication with the public and the Board of Education. *** View Job Description for details ***
Requirements / Qualifications
Education Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Public Administration, or related field. Equivalent work experience in outreach, community relations, or supplier diversity may substitute for education. Experience Minimum three (3) to five (5) years of experience in small business coordination, outreach, community relations, or supplier diversity programs. Experience working with public agencies or government procurement strongly preferred. Experience with compliance software such as LCP Tracker is desirable. Preferred Certifications: Small Business Certification Training (DGS or similar) Public Engagement or Supplier Diversity certification Physical Requirements Employees must be physically and mentally able to perform the essential duties of a position with or without reasonable accommodation and without hazard to themselves or others.
