We are a Transitional Kindergarten through 8th Grade district with three Elementary Schools, one Middle School, and one Transitional Kindergarten through 8th Grade Dependent Charter School. Job Description
JOB TITLE: Student Supervisor
Job Purpose Statement/s: The job of a Student Supervisor is under the supervision of the under direct supervision of the Site Administrator, assists school staff in the safety and wellbeing of students during noontime eating and playground activity. Through meaningful playground and lunchroom supervision to enable students to safely enjoy group interaction and exercise.
Directly Responsible To: Site Administrator
Duties and Responsibilities
• Supervises students at play and during eating time.
• Maintains a harmonious atmosphere in eating area.
• Helps to guide pupils in developing good habits of sportsmanship.
• Encourages and promotes courtesy among children.
• Observes that safety rules are obeyed and applies school site discipline policy and
student conduct code.
• Assists students in resolving minor conflicts on the playground.
• Reports unauthorized activities and unauthorized persons on school grounds to
appropriate authority.
• Assists with the preparation and signing of accident reports if children are injured.
• Performs related tasks as required.
Education and Experience
• High school graduate or equivalent experience with children.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge is required to perform safety rules and habit, health regulations and safe working methods and procedures, proper lifting techniques, district policies, rules and regulations.
Skills to have ability to understand and follow written and oral directions.
Ability to work well with children, understand, implement, and give oral and written direction in English. Communicate effectively with a wide variety of personalities. Observe health and safety regulations. Work cooperatively for others, understand and follow oral and written instructions.
