Job Summary
Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent, Fiscal Services and the Director, Fiscal Services, prepare, maintain and audit a variety of specialized accounting functions in connection with assigned accounts or district programs and services.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: • Requires high school education or recognized equivalent, including or supplemented by courses in general accounting. • Formal accounting training equivalent to 2 years of college preferred. Experience: • Required experience varies based on level of classification (see Distinguishing Characteristics in job description). • Minimum of 1 year of accounting/data entry experience as well as experience with computerized spreadsheets and word processing is required.

The Lake County Office of Education offers the following benefits to regular classified employees:
• Health and Welfare: there is an annual benefits cap of $17,500 for full-time employees; part-time employees (6+ hours per day) receive their cap at a prorated rate. Includes medical, prescription, dental, and vision for employees and all eligible dependents, based on the Tier coverage selected by the employee. Employee's out-of-pocket contribution amount will vary based on the selection; employees may purchase coverage through a 125-cafeteria plan.
• Longevity Pay (Years: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35)
• Paid Sick Leave (96 hours per year/prorated based on service days/hours)
• Paid Vacation (15 to 27 days/Yr. depending on years of district service)
