Job Summary

Christ the King School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced full time junior high Math and Science teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Our science program focuses on Earth, Life, and Physical Science. Our Math program focuses on Pre-Algebra A and B, Algebra 1 and Geometry. Successful candidates will demonstrate: Content and pedagogical expertise Positivity and enthusiasm for all aspects of school life Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrate support and knowledge of the school’s goals and mission Key Responsibilities: Create and deliver rigorous, science and math lessons according to the California state standards Introduce inquiry-based and hands-on instructional strategies to promote student understanding, critical thinking, and mastery Prepare them for high school courses. Design curriculum maps and engaging lessons that incorporate differentiated instructional strategies for all learners. Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines, including math and science innovation Plan and organize Yearly Science Fair Attend and actively support science-related field trips, including preparation and follow-up activities Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives Provide continual assessment of student progress, maintain student records and portfolios, and complete assigned paperwork in provided time frames
