Job Summary

Imperial Unified School District is accepting applications for the 2026 2027 school year. The Middle School Elective Teacher provides engaging, standards-aligned instruction for students in grades 6-8 in elective and exploratory courses that support student interest, career awareness, and skill development. Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 1. Credential: Possession of a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in grades 6-8, including but not limited to: Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, or Single Subject Teaching Credential in an appropriate content area, or Credential authorizing Career Technical Education (CTE) instruction, as applicable. 2. Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree preferred, Prior teaching experience at the middle school level is desirable, Experience in elective, enrichment, CTE, leadership, or exploratory programs is preferred. 4. Personal Qualities: Appearance, grooming, and personality which establish a desirable example for pupils. Ability to meet district standards for physical and mental health. Better than average recommendations from student teaching supervisors and other professionals who have observed the personal characteristics, scholastic attainment, and classroom performance of the teacher.
