POSITION DESCRIPTION: Under general supervision, perform technical attendance activities providing accurate accounting of student enrollment and attendance records in accordance with provisions of the California Education Code and perform a variety of duties related to the management of student data including, but not limited to, supporting the district’s Student Information System (AERIES), ensuring educational technology systems and student information platforms are updated and functioning effectively, maintaining accurate and up-to-date district website information, serving as a liaison between Student Services, Teaching and Learning, and Special Education related to student information and data systems, and assisting with reporting to a variety of outside agencies. REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: E = Essential Duties 1. Coordinate with district department heads and the Superintendent to ensure all student information and data requests are disseminated accurately and in a timely manner. E 2. Coordinate with principals, guidance counselors, site secretaries, Student Services, Teaching and Learning, and Special Education staff to ensure accurate and timely data entry, reporting, and maintenance of student information systems. E 3. Serve as a liaison between district departments, school sites, and program administrators to ensure accurate, thorough, and effective use of student data and educational technology systems. E 4. Assist with, monitor, and/or correct data entry as necessary and where appropriate to maintain data integrity and compliance. E 5. Perform all necessary activities related to data extraction and reporting for district, state, and federal accountability and funding requirements, including but not limited to data entry, review, verification, and extraction of student attendance records.
