Job Summary
This Senior Management and Cabinet-level position functions under the administrative direction of the Superintendent. The emphasis of the position is to provide leadership, administrative responsibility, and strategic planning for the District's business operations, including finance, facilities, bond-funded construction and modernization projects, maintenance, purchasing, transportation, nutrition services, and safety. This position plans, organizes, directs, and reviews the work of assigned divisional directors and supervisors to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and safe operations. Additionally, the position is responsible for overseeing the preparation of the annual budget, managing cash flows and public financing, making complex presentations to the Board of Education and outside agencies, and ensuring strict compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and reporting guidelines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field. Master’s degree preferred or combination of education and experience equivalent to a Master’s degree. • Five years of increasingly responsible experience in supervision and administration in a public-school system. Previous experience as a business officer in a California public school district is desirable. (Certificated and Classified applicants will be considered)
