Job Summary
Under supervision of the Principal or designee, the Para Educator of Sing Language works closely with the classroom teacher to assist in the instruction and care of special needs students, including management of student behavior, communicate with students using sign language, record keeping, instructional assistance, medical care, classroom organization and interaction with students and support staff, and perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor. **American Sign Language (ASL) Stipend: 5% of employee's normal salary (if providing direct sign support for a student with a DHH disability)**

1. High School diploma or the equivalent and; 2. 48 college units 3. A.A. degree or higher 4. Pass a local assessment of knowledge (Paraprofessional Exam) 5. Fluent in sign language
