The San Diego Unified School District is currently accepting applications for the position of ROP Assistant. If you have a passion for child development and are looking for a rewarding part-time role, consider joining Scripps Ranch High School as an ROP Assistant. In this unique role, you'll help support the Falcon Preschool, working directly alongside their Child Development teacher. This program gives high school students hands-on, real-world experience in lesson planning and early childhood education. This position offers a set schedule (see below) and is open to all interested candidates. The eligibility list will be active for three (3) months or until the position is filled. BASIC FUNCTION: The ROP Assistant will provide assistance to a specific ROP/vocational instructional program in a school classroom or ROP/vocational instructional facility. VACANCY / POSITION SPECIFICS: Working Location: Scripps Ranch High School. 10410 Falcon Way, San Diego, CA 92131. Work Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30 am - 11:52 am. 10 months per year / 17.5 hours per week. This position does not work on Wednesday. This is a part-time, non-benefit eligible position. Education and Experience: High school diploma/GED and a passing score on the San Diego City Schools classroom Assistant Proficiency Exam (CAPE) or an Associate’s Degree (or higher) or 48 or more eligible units of coursework at a recognized college or university.
