Under the direction of the site administrator, plans, organizes, and implements an instructional program for Transitional Kindergarten students designed to support early learning and school readiness; provides developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with California Preschool Learning Foundations, Transitional Kindergarten standards, and District curriculum; promotes students’ academic, social-emotional, language, physical, and behavioral development; and performs related duties as assigned

Requirements / Qualifications

Multiple Subject with EL Authorization and at least 24 units in early childhood education, or childhood development, or both or PK-3 ECE Specialist Credential

Letter of Introduction Letter of recommendation (at least 3 within the last 12 months) Resume

The East Whittier City School District provides educational opportunities (transitional kindergarten through eighth grade, including special education) for approximately 7,400 children. The District employs approximately 1,000 teachers, administrators and support staff. We have 13 schools which operate on a traditional school year schedule.
