Role Overview: The Technology Operations Engineer ensures continuous district-wide technology services, handling systems administration, infrastructure management, integration, automation, and capacity-building. Key Responsibilities: - Manage/support enterprise systems (cloud/on-premises), endpoint devices, and identity systems. - Oversee systems integration, automation, and API-based workflows for district operations and instruction. - Administer platforms like Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Intune, and MDM systems. - Supervise technology staff and help desk operations, ensuring service quality and compliance. - Support database infrastructure, data pipelines, and backup procedures with other teams. - Implement cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and system monitoring. - Collaborate with Facilities and other departments to integrate technology systems (e.g., cameras, IoT). - Mentor staff, build team capacity, and develop documentation and standards. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience. - Five years of experience in enterprise technology systems administration and integration. - Experience with cloud platforms, automation, scripting, identity management, and networking. - Ability to obtain/maintain administrator-level certifications for district platforms. Distinguishing Characteristics: - Exercises independent judgment and system-level responsibility. - Key role in mentoring and building organizational capacity. - Operational responsibility for critical systems impacting district operations.
