Job Summary

Under the direction of the site Principal, creates a flexible elementary grade program and class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; establishes effective rapport with pupils; motivates pupils to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for upper elementary grade education in accordance with each pupil’s ability; establishes good relationships with parents and other staff members.

Requirements / Qualifications

1. Must successfully complete a pre-employment medical examination and be free of communicable diseases. Must meet district and state standards for physical and mental health. 2. Credential: Possession of a valid California teaching credential with elementary level authorizations. 3. Education: Possession of an earned Baccalaureate or higher degree from an accredited college or university, including all courses needed to meet credential requirements. 4. Experience: Successful completion of student teaching, an internship program, or two years of full time elementary classroom teaching experience. 5. Favorable recommendations from student teaching supervisors and/or other professionals who have observed the character and/or scholastic attainment and/or classroom performance of the teacher.

Required: A cover letter, current resume, transcripts, credential with authorization(s), test scores, and three current supervisory letters of recommendation. This vacancy is for the 2026-2027 school year. The district covers the cost of the induction program for preliminary credential holders needing induction. We pay $50 per hour for extra duty.
