Job Summary
The Multiple Subject Alternative High School Teacher is employed by John Muir Charter Schools (JMCS) and is responsible for classroom instruction of young adults participating in the California Conservation Corps (CCC) in Los Angeles CA. Los Angeles CCC Center and JMCS’s innovative education programs are designed to provide youth, ages 18-25, with an engaging educational experience that meets individual needs. We combine classroom-based instruction, project work, credit recovery, life skills, technical job training and other academic experiences into a highly personalized high school diploma program. Classroom activities are combined with top notch vocational training provided by Los Angeles CCC.
Requirements / Qualifications
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: * California Multiple Subject Credential preferred * California Single Subject Credential in any subject eligible * English Learner Authorization (CLAD or other) or ability to obtain one required * University Interns in Multiple Subjects welcome to apply * Individuals Meeting minimum requirements for a temporary permit welcome to apply * Out-of-State fully credentialed applicants welcome to apply EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Education or any related field.
