Job Summary

Job Summary

Major Duties include: Transport students and others to and from school, field trips, athletic contests and other special events. Conduct pretrip inspection of the bus, correct minor malfunctions and report mechanical failures according to established procedures; provide first aid in emergency situations and take other appropriate action as needed; fuel, sweep, wash and maintain the bus in a clean and orderly condition; maintain routine records related to mileage, bus maintenance and student conduct; attend safety meetings and in-service trainings as assigned; communicate with supervisors, parents and other regarding student conduct, schedules, routes and bus maintenance.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience: Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and two years of safe driving experience. Licenses and Certifications Possession of a valid Class B or A California driver’s license and School Bus Driver’s Certificate issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles First Aid and CPR Certification Criminal background, drug testing, and tuberculosis screening will be included in the hiring process.
