Job Summary
Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Executive Director, Information and Technology Services (I.T.S.), assumes primary management responsibility for the Technical Services Department within I.T.S.; ensures efficient management and delivery of services across the District's voice, video and data networks and performs other essential job-related work as required. Maintains the computer, telephony and communications equipment that constitutes the Wide Area Network. The fundamental objective of this position is to ensure that the District and its various agencies, schools and sites, students, parents and community, as well as state and government agencies are provided with consistent and reliable access to the Districts' information resources.
Requirements / Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, education, computer science, or related field AND eight years' progressively responsible experience in a similar-sized organization in the field of computers and technology management, of which four were in a management capacity. Certified Novell Engineer or Microsoft Certified Engineer.
