Under the direction of the Director of the Conservatory and the Assistant Principal of Arts, Conservatory Teachers plan, develop, organize, and implement a comprehensive educational program for students in the skills of their specified art discipline, create a supportive and flexible learning environment to nurture each student’s personal growth, and collaborate with colleagues to reflect on and refine instructional practice. The Instrumental Music Teacher – Piano serves as a teaching artist responsible for educating, mentoring, and inspiring students in the field of piano performance and keyboard musicianship. This position provides instruction and rehearsal leadership for students of varying skill levels while fostering a creative, challenging, and supportive learning environment aligned with the school’s mission and artistic standards. The teacher develops and delivers engaging lessons, prepares students for recitals, performances, and school events, evaluates student progress, and supports the artistic and personal growth of each student. In addition, this role collaborates with faculty, administration, and families to maintain high academic, behavioral, and performance expectations while contributing positively to the overall success of the music program. Class: Guided Practice/Piano Technique/Piano Styles Class Schedule: Tuesday/Thursday 3:45 PM – 4:45 PM and Wednesday 2:40 PM – 4:45 PM
