Job Summary
Instructional Assistants Special Education assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups of students in a special education learning environment. Assignments are throughout the district at middle and high schools in Special Education classrooms. We don't need a resume or Letters of Recommendation so applying is easy. Six months of job-related experience working with children is required. Experience may be paid or volunteer.
Valid First Aid and Adult CPR certification(s) from an accredited organization such as the Red Cross or American Heart Association. Online First Aid certificates are acceptable, however, CPR certificate must include "hands on" classroom training. If you do not have valid certification(s), you may submit certifications to a test proctor if you are selected to move forward in the testing process.

The competitive basis for this recruitment is Open/Promotional-Dual Certification. Candidates who pass all exams are placed on an eligibility list in order of overall exam score.
