The Pajaro Valley Unified School District annually hires coaches to prepare athletes for competition.
Coaches have responsibility for:
a. teaching sports techniques, playing rules, strategies and playing tactics;
b. conditioning athletes appropriately for activities requiring endurance, strength and agility;
c. supervising and conducting practices and contests safely; supervising locker rooms and buses;
d. teaching sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic and responsibility to one's team;
e. monitoring athletes' school attendance, grades and personal conduct; collaborating with school staff
f. responding to player injuries with approved first aid techniques;
g. managing uniforms, equipment, and school facilities in a responsible manner; completing field trip paperwork
h. provide coverage for absence of coaches.

Pajaro Valley High School is seeking persons interested in becoming the Head Varsity Football Coach beginning with the 2026-2027 season. We are a school of around 1300 students with an administration that understands the importance of the strong link between athletics and academics. A chief objective is to hire an individual who will make a home at Pajaro Valley High and provide energy and direction for the program.
