Job Summary
Job Summary
AUESD is seeking paraprofessionals with hours varying from 5 - 5.75, depending upon school site's needs. Armona Elementary School serves grades TK-4; Parkview Middle School serves grades 5-8; and Crossroads Charter Academy serves grades K-12 online. Placement on salary schedule is based upon years of experience in a school setting. It is customary to be placed on step 1 as an entry level with a maximum of step 3 for experience. Positions may have unscheduled time during the day.
Requirements / Qualifications
REQUIRED: * Letter of introduction and resume. * Two (2) letters of recommendation signed and dated within the last 3-5 years, including current supervisor. * Proof of high school diploma or equivalent. * Possess or obtain valid CPR/First Aid certificate. * Minimum of 24 units of higher level education OR pass Kings County Proficiency Test with 75% or above within 6 months of being hired.
PREFER: * One (1) year of related experience working with diverse population, in a school setting, or customer service. * Pursuing coursework that will lead to a Bachelors Degree and a teaching credential as a professional educator. * Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly desired.
