Job Summary
Major Duties and Responsibilities: • Teaches content and skills in math for 7/8 grade students. • Competency in preparing lesson plans and classroom management skills. • Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: • Appropriate California Teaching Credential. • Bachelor’s Degree including coursework required for credential. • Must be authorized by the State of California to teach English Learners. This requirement must be met by October 1 of a teacher’s second year with the district. • Successful student teaching experience. Desired Qualifications: • Recent experience in math instruction at the middle school level. • Ability and interest in working with middle school students. • Strong communication skills. • Ability to work as a member of an academic team.
