Under the guidance of school administrators the Campus Safety and Engagement Specialist serves as a crucial link between school administration, students, and community members. This role is dedicated to ensuring the adherence to campus rules and regulations and involves the supervision of assigned student groups. Experience: • Experience working with middle/high school students License and/or Other Qualifications: • First Aid training preferred • Bilingual skills desired Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of: • Campus rules and regulations influencing student behaviors • Restorative practices for managing students in normal and adverse circumstances • Discipline and support techniques/methods • Social, emotional, and personal needs of high school-age students Ability to: • De-escalate student disturbances • Ensure student safety • Collaborate effectively with staff, students, neighbors, and visitors • Read and write at the level required for successful job performance • Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action • Develop friendly, supportive yet firm relationships with students, respecting professional boundaries • Operate modern technology as required for the position ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The job analysis will be reviewed periodically as duties and responsibilities change with business necessity. Roam the campus and parking lots to ensure GCCA student compliance with campus rules and regulations and resolving disturbances and conflicts. 2. Communicate and educate students on campus rules and regulations. 3. Communicate with students in a manner that encourages conflict resolution and problem-solving. 4. Develop a friendly and supportive relationship with students while ensuring compliance with school rules
