Job Summary

Job Summary

St. Anthony School in the city of San Gabriel is seeking a faith-filled individual with a passion for growing our preschool program to join our school community as a full-time Preschool director/teacher. While we are seeking someone to take the helm of our preschool program (licensed for 2-4 year olds), we are also open to a candidate pursuing an opportunity exclusively as a full-time preschool teacher. A candidate for this position must also be open to a schedule that accommodates afterschool care for our preschoolers. Candidates must be willing to collaborate with colleagues and administration.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education: -- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development is required. -- Must have 12 accredited units in Early Childhood Education, which includes coursework in child growth and development; child, family, and community; and program/curriculum Certification: -- Successful completion of all background checks and compliance with Archdiocesan VIRTUS/Safe Environment requirements -- 15 hours of health and safety training (can be completed through the American Red Cross as part of the hiring process) -- Mandated Training through the California Dept. of Social Services -- Updated Immunization Record to include TDAP, Influenza, MMR, and TB -- Other certifications may be required based on position -- (For director role) Requires relevant California Child Development Program Director Permits. Experience: (For director role) -- Prior experience in teaching and leading a licensed preschool or childcare.

Under the Archdiocese of Los Angeles (ADLA) a Preschool Director/Teacher oversees the daily operations, staff, and educational programming of a Catholic early childhood center. This individual leads the instructional curriculum, ensures strict compliance with state licensing, helps manage the budget, and fosters a nurturing, faith-based environment for young learners. Key Responsibilities: -- Serve as the primary liaison between the preschool, the parish, and school families, actively supporting the school's mission. -- Help facilitate tours, coordinate enrollment, and build strong, ongoing relationships with parents. -- Ensure full compliance with all California Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD) regulations, health standards, and safety requirements. -- Maintain accurate records for student attendance, immunizations, and staff files. -- Manage the center's physical facility, ensuring classrooms are safe, clean, and conducive to optimal learning. -- Develop and implement marketing strategies, in collaboration with the Principal and Pastor, to promote enrollment growth of the preschool. Faith: -- Practicing Catholic (preferred) with a solid working knowledge of the Catholic faith, willing to model Christian values and teach traditional prayers.
